A Letter from Twmmy

I didn’t make this record because I had found the answers.

I made it because I was afraid of what the answers might be.

After my previous album, I wasn’t sure if I still had something honest left to say. More than that, I wasn’t sure if I still knew who I was beneath everything I had experienced.

IS IT STILL IN ME? became my way of exploring that uncertainty.

At first, I believed healing meant leaving parts of myself behind. The fear, the anger, the confusion—I wanted all of it to disappear.

But somewhere along the way, I realized those experiences hadn’t taken me further away from who I was meant to become. They had quietly led me there.

This record is the story of learning to stop fighting the past and start understanding it.

The title asks two questions.

Do I still have the ability to create?

And is the version of myself I’ve been trying to escape still living inside me?

In the end, I found the same answer to both.

Not certainty.

But acceptance.

Why This Record Exists

Some records begin with inspiration.

This one began with uncertainty.

IS IT STILL IN ME? follows eleven chapters that explore identity, grief, fear, anger, hope and acceptance.

Rather than telling a linear story, the record documents what it feels like to slowly reconcile with yourself.

It doesn’t try to erase the past.

It tries to understand it.

Every chapter asks a different question.

Together, they become one.

The Journey

  1. Chapter I

    THE VOID

    Every journey begins with honesty.

Before growth, before healing, before acceptance, there comes a moment when silence is no longer enough. The Void opens the record by leaving behind the versions of ourselves built through fear and expectation, making space for the truth that has always existed underneath.

  2. Chapter II

    FAR AWAY

Not every battle deserves your attention.

Choosing hope can be an act of resistance. Far Away is about consciously stepping back from hatred, fear and division, protecting your peace while refusing to let the world define who you become.

  3. Chapter III

    BRAINROT

    Healing is rarely linear.

Some days feel like progress. Others feel like starting over. Brainrot captures the emotional exhaustion of believing you’ve fallen back into old patterns, only to discover that recovery is built through both setbacks and resilience.

  4. Chapter IV

    WITHOUT A RUSH

What if every difficult moment had been quietly leading you somewhere?

Looking back, the experiences that once felt meaningless begin to reveal their purpose. Without A Rush reflects on identity, patience and the possibility that every chapter— even the painful ones—helped shape the person you were always meant to become.

  5. Chapter V

    JUSTICE! (Interlude)

    A moment of collective tension.

The silence before speaking becomes impossible.

  6. Chapter VI

    AMERICA IS DEAD

Sometimes silence becomes its own form of acceptance.

America Is Dead confronts a world shaped by conflict, fear and manipulation. Rather than offering political answers, it captures the emotional weight of witnessing violence, division and injustice while asking whether empathy still has a place in the conversation.

  7. Chapter VII

    UNTIL I'M NUMB

Freedom begins where fear loses its voice.

Letting go of the expectations, judgments and labels imposed by others becomes an act of self-preservation. Until I’m Numb embraces vulnerability by refusing to apologize for becoming exactly who you are.

  8. Chapter VIII

    HEALING IS A HOPELESS GAME

Sometimes surrender is stronger than resistance.

After years of trying to control every wound, every emotion and every outcome, there comes a moment when healing no longer feels like a destination—but a lifelong conversation with yourself.

  9. Chapter IX

    BLACK & WHITE

    Perspective changes everything.

Looking back with compassion transforms pain into understanding. Black & White reflects on forgiveness, empathy and the quiet realization that even those who hurt us are often carrying struggles we cannot see.

  10. Chapter X

    NO EXCUSES

    Hope becomes a decision.

Once the past no longer defines you, the future becomes your responsibility. No Excuses is a commitment to keep moving forward—even without guarantees—guided only by conviction, purpose and faith in what is still possible.

  11. Chapter XI

    SAME OLD KID

    The question never disappeared.

    The answer simply changed.

Same Old Kid closes the journey by embracing every version of the self that came before. Not because nothing changed, but because growth begins the moment we stop trying to erase our past and finally learn to carry it with gratitude.

Creative Process

Every decision behind IS IT STILL IN ME? was made in service of a single story.

From songwriting and production to visual identity and music videos, the project was developed as one continuous artistic experience, where every element contributes to the same emotional journey.

About Twmmy

Twmmy is a Greek alternative artist, songwriter and creative director whose work explores identity, vulnerability and personal transformation through cinematic pop and alternative rock.

Since his debut in 2021, he has developed a body of work that values storytelling as much as songwriting, building interconnected worlds where music, visuals and narrative become part of the same artistic language.

Working independently, Twmmy remains deeply involved in every stage of the creative process—from writing and production to visual direction and conceptual development—allowing each release to exist as a complete artistic statement rather than a collection of songs.

IS IT STILL IN ME? represents his most ambitious work to date: an eleven-chapter concept record examining memory, identity and the quiet process of making peace with oneself.
